Below are some terms you should be familiar with when you begin training:

Absolute Strength: The maximum force an individual’s muscle can produce in a single voluntary effort, regardless of rate of force production.

Agonist: Muscles that are the prime movers in a joint motion. 

Antagonists: muscles that act in direct opposition to agonists.  

Anterior Tilt: Pelvic tilt in which the ASIS is anterior to the symphysis pubis.
